EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY!
Due to rising COVID rates across the state and county, we will be following the guidance from East Lansing Public School (ELPS), Governor Whitmer, and the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) by pausing all games and practices for the next two weeks – from Sunday, April 11 – Saturday, April 24.
As you are aware, ELPS is putting a pause to in-person learning at the High School and Middle School. They are also pausing all sports for the next 2 weeks.
Although as a non-profit we are not bound by MHSAA or ELPS mandates or regulations, we do use ELPS facilities for our practices and competitions. As a result of the ELPS pause, we cannot hold any organized practices or games on ELPS property.
Therefore as a Board, we feel it is best that we also pause our season for the next two weeks.
Players are encouraged to practice the skills they have learned in practice during the pause. Play wall ball, play with a parent/friend or two at a park/home, and if possible use an unstructured, free play opportunity to take shots on goal at the middle school.
Our main goal is to provide students the opportunity to play lacrosse. We will work to reschedule games with other clubs as much as possible.
Thank you for your understanding as we continue to navigate these unprecedented times.
